This post-war nomograph like the [[Site.BlochSchnellkalkulator1924|Bloch SchnellKalulator]] from several decades before used principles of [[nomography]] to solve calculating problems associated with machine cutting tools. The device is made of more contemporary materials than the robust Schnellkalulator of 1924, and has less scales. Nevertheless it provided a simplified approach to estimating the unknown in an equation (on the third scale, by fixing the line between the other two scales) without the skills necessary to use a slide rule and actually evaluate the equation itself by substitution of variables and corresponding arithmetic operations.
