This beautiful EMG Mark IX gramophone (number 2048) was purchased by William Berndt with the assistance of Graham Rankin from John and Carrie Michaud. It was originally owned by Carrieā€™s father, A.L. Wehling. Initially the sound box was not working. However, William wrote (June 2017): I am happy to report that I have the original 2-spring soundbox operating beautifully, and did some conservative restoration to the horn. I have also included a photo of the Garrard 201B/1 transcription induction motor.”
