1920: Addiator

The Addiator was a mechanical add/subtract calculator, made by Addiator Gesellschaft, Berlin. Variants of it were sold from 1920 until 1982. A 1920s handheld mechanical calculator by Addiator Gesellschaft, Berlin. This is the duplex model with addition on the the face and subtraction on the reverse of the machine. These calculalators were constructed to do various calculations with applications ranging from addition of finance, weights and measures, and much else. The calculator is metal construction with gilded panels and cut away window and slides to allow the stylus to be inserted and move the slides for addition or subtraction, depending on the face utilised. Machine measures 5” high x 3” wide x 1/4” in depth. Original instructions and green leather case.
