Google requires a site map for optimal browsing, especially for a php database generated site. We are using the Site Map application to generate a Google compliant site map automatically at
http://meta-studies.net/pmg/sitemap.xml.gz
Clicking on this link downloads the site map in XML form.
I understand that pmWiki does attempt to provide Google with something via pagelist, but Google seemed happy with this submit of the sitemap through https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/home?hl=en
