I was so sorry to hear of the passing of Sue. I like so many of Sue’s former UTS colleagues are upset and deeply saddened at this news.
Sue made such a huge impact at UTS. She is remembered for her clear-sightedness, warmth and humour. Sue was a great friend of Vicki, our Chancellor, and Ross and his executive. She transformed our research strategy and did an outstanding job at raising the University’s profile. She was brilliant at developing and mentoring our researchers. In my early days in the role of DVC (Research), Sue provided much support and advice. She was someone I could, and did, always go to for advice.
It was a privilege for UTS to have such an exceptional researcher and leader as part of our senior team until 2009 - and her continued assistance after this time.
