In the will of his mother he is named Septimus Ralph.
He was buried at Rookwood, Section 5, Row 2 - The headstone reads, 'Septimus Ralph (25 Jan 1934) husband of Gwendoline (25 May 1960), Maitland MC Irish Guards, son of Septimus Ralph and Gwendoline Levy, killed in action France 12 April 1918.
In the 1904 Post Office Directory of NSW he is listed at 'Oyama', King Street, Newcastle.

Lewis Wolfe Levy MLC, educated at Sydney Grammar Schoolthen England, before joining the firm of David Cohen & Co at Maitland,later Director and Chairman of the Newcastle & Hunter River SteamshipCompany, as well as being Deputy Chairman of Tooth & Co.Ltd, and onthe death of George Judah Cohen became Chairman until his death in1934. He was also Chairman of Directors of Nestles Limited, chosen bythe visiting President of the swizz Company on a visit to Sydney.
