My own association with her and Jim goes back to her Monash PhD days (his in physics) in which as a somewhat exciting and close pair often roaring around together in a sportscar with leather gear and her blond pony tail or unruly hair blowing around she made quite an impression – much joi de vivre then . They both honed at that hectic time their lifetime activist approach to making things happen. While she mellowed and matured like we all do with age that initial flair was always there. Sue was one of those people who makes a lasting impression just on meeting her . We all owe her a lot.
