Children Reginald, Gladys, Enid (married Reginald son of Charles Solomon), Saide Estelle, Herbert, and Harold. Philip Cohen says that one of his children was Gladys (1883-1970) , the first woman to be appointed an acting university professor in New South Wales. I cannot find the births of these children, only one named Harold

From "Beginning with Esther" by Lysbeth Cohen, he was born in Tasmania, where his father, a schoolmaster, had arrived from England in 1837. She also notes that they lived in Brisband, where Gladys (1883) one of five children was born.
Reginald Solomon son of Charles married a Enid M Marks in 1915, but I am not convinced that she is the daughter of this couple.
His headstone at Rookwood, notes that he was 91 years of age. He and his wife are buried in the same plot. Section 6, Row 11.
