 | The following Cassirer victims of the Holocaust who were transported from Berlin are drawn from the Yad Vashem database. Except where indicated it remains unclear whether these are related to the Cassirer family which is the subject of this site and if so how.

| I have looked at the file on Mrs Cassirer in the Brandenburg country main archives Potsdam-Bornim.
The file are of Rep. 092 resulted for no. 5684 some days in front of the deportation.
The fortune explanation(Vermögenserklärung) was Berlin - Köpenick filled out in on 7-17-1942.
Children weren’t mentioned. The deceased husband also not.
She received the decision on the collection of the fortune on 8-18-1942. (She had nothing)
She was in the collecting store ( Sammellager) of the Gestapo, big Hamburg St. 23 in Berlin - Mitte, at that time
I will look for further information. If I should be lucky and find something, I will inform her.

For my book “It was her home ” over the Jews of the municipal district Köpenick of Berlin I found the following information about Amalie Cassirer.

Maiden name: Konicki
Date of birth: 3-20-1866
Place of birth: Schubin, Posen
Last apartment: since May 1939 old people’s home in Berlin - Köpenick, Mahlsdorfer St. 34
Deportation: 20.08.1942, 46. age shipment ( Alterstransport) to Theresienstadt.
Destiny: missing
