Judith Marlow's notes - He was a London merchant, and probate was granted in both England and Sydney. In the 1899 Postal directory he was listed as a business man, in Tamworth. In the 1903 electoral roll, L Hyman, Storekeeper. June 1892 - Mr L H Hyman JP is appointed a member of the Royal Commission in connection with the World's Fair, at Chicago. In Memories of the Past (Tamworth Observer) Tamworth Family Historian, Tamworth & District Family History Group Inc, May 1992. He was a life member of Tamworth Hospital.
He is mentioned on the memorial which is actually on the grave of Montague Levey (his father in law) reads - our father. Died Eastbourne England 18 Aug 1911 age 65. The Hebrew inscription for him is' A tombstone of love, to the memory of Yehuda son of Chaim. Died on the eve of the Holy Sabbath 24 Av 5672.'
