Sue Ball, 75, Indianapolis, died January 7, 2004. Mrs. Ball was born on October 3, 1928 in Berlin, Germany to the late Wilhelm and Ilse (Steinitz) Nast. Mrs. Ball was the first female Federal Probation Officer in the Southern District of Indiana. She was a member of the Indianapolis Hebrew Congregation and a volunteer docent at the Indianapolis Museum of Art. She also volunteered at the Eiteljorg Museum, Indiana Historical Society, and Second Helpings. Survivors include her son, David Ball; daughter, Sandra Ball; son-in-law, Leo van der Linde; grandchildren, Daan van der Linde and Max van der Linde. She was preceded in death by two brothers. Memorial services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at Indianapolis Hebrew Congregation. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Second Helpings, 3324 Michigan Street, Indpls., IN 46201 -or Ruth Lilly Hospice, co Methodist Health Fnd., 1800 N.
