Barrie served with British RAF in WW2 and his plane was shot down. he was taken as a German prisoner of war. he survived and came back to Sydney in 1947.. Barrie was the father of three children, Shari, Ian and Sally. Barrie died in 2001. Edna and William had a second son Kerry York Samuels.1173
