Note the different spellings of Nathan Simons, aka Simmons, aka Symons.65

From the record of the 1813 trial for James Simmons, Phillip Kirby writes:
“Nathan Simons was due to be transported but the UK Prison Hulk Registers and Letter Books 1802-1849 show that he was first on the Hulk Retribution in New Romney in 1813 age 50 b abt 1767 and then transferred to the Hulk Retribution on 24 June 1817 from Newgate and Pardoned on 18 July 182? It is difficult to read the original last numeral on his record.”65
